True Torture

Is it torture if you get the information you want by whatever means necessary?
With the recent events after 9/11, many think of waterboarding, using dogs, attaching body parts to batteries, and other physical torture. It seems that sometimes you get more flies with sugar. Unfortunately we rarely hear about that one.
Since the end justifies the means, it seems that sugar-free cookies are torture. That is especially true if you answered YES to my opening question!
Abu Jandal, who was our top capture and closer to bin Laden than any other terrorist ever captured, started talking when he was offered a handful of sugar-free cookies.
