Is it possible that kids can't be kids because there is no longer a pecking order? All children have to be stress-free in life to better prepare them for the stress-free society we all live in! That is what it seems like anyway. We have to stop bullying because we did not like it as children. Even though we may be better people because of it, we will never admit it.
Currently in parts of the USA there are people complaining that their children aren't getting a good education. It has gotten so bad that some "Institutions Of Higher Learning" want to be athletic universities only! This so their stupid athletes can serve their purpose without worrying about their grades or future.
In Britain they want to drop oral tests. The reason being that they are 'too strssful' on the precious little wuss. Of course those of us who work for a living never encounter stress in modern society.
I can't understand why people feel they have to stop competition of any form that may make some the underdogs. Then we wonder why kids are doped up on meds before they hit adolescent. We come up with new disorders if the child behaves badly or is hyperactive or is on a sugar-induced buzz!
Some wonder if it isn't these medications that increase suicidal thoughts or thoughts of killing others. Seems in such tragedies medication comes up very often. Usually they stopped taking them, according to reports.

At the current rate of change, I would give that no more than two to three generations, as the psychological degeneration of the individual (particularly those who live in cities) seems to be accelerating.
