The Octopus and Soccer

When it comes to sport fans, none are more fanatical than soccer fans. Heated debates, fights and even field invasions are common to a sport that gets heated in the 90 minutes of play. When national teams play there is a sense of patriotism and for some this is the only time they feel it!
In Germany an octopus has successfully predicted six World Cup games. All were over the national German team including its defeat to Spain. The octopus has also predicted Spain as the final winner.
Well all was well while Germany was winning. Once it lost the trouble began. Since you can't blame a great team, you call for retaliation against the octopus!
It was the octopus that caused the team to lose. As odd as that sounds, it would have had the same results if the octopus predicted any other team!
