The Next NY Senator

Good-bye Hillary. She never deserved to be the senator of New York because she only came to New York on vacation. She was a carpetbagger meaning she was not from New York. She ran on the fact that her husband was a beloved President in New York State. If not for Bill, nobody would even know who Hill was. Yet, she ran and won and had no idea of the problems of New York. She made promises and threw bones to the starving dogs. People overlooked her no-experience in NY politics because they loved the President and were happy to see him at her appearances. I found this out when Hillary made her yearly pilgrimage at the New York State Fair and crowds surrounded her. There were no crowds when Bill wasn't present due to health issues. Her security outnumbered the people who wanted to shake her hand when Bill wasn't with her.
The governor of New York will have to nominate a replacement for Hillary who is going to join President-elect Obama's team as Secretary of State.
Enter Caroline Kennedy...
Like Hillary Clinton she is not originally from New York, but she lived there for years. New Yorkers understand the ongoing battle between Upstate and Downstate New York. Upstate is anything north of New York City. She lives in the City.
Unlike Hillary she was born in politics and has more experience than she lets on. She was the daughter of the most famous beloved president of our lifetime. Her uncle Ted is a senator of Massachusetts and her uncle Robert was a NY senator before he ran for president and was assassinated. She has cousins in politics. I find that resume' alone impressive.
So Caroline launches her announcement that she is interested in the empty senate seat. And of course she his hounded by what are her qualifications. What were Hillary's qualifications as a NY senator? Kennedy's experience is far more wide unless you are blind.
Even hard-core Conservatives believe Caroline Kennedy would make a great senator.
She can't rightly self-promote herself by saying, "Hello, my entire family is in politics and I know more than you!" I hope she is my next senator appointed by Gov. Paterson and I will vote for her 2010!
