The Iranian Godfather(s)
April 7th 2007 19:48
The day may never come that I need a favor...but we all know it will! Yes, and the Iranians have even jumped the gun about the British sailors' description of their time in captivity.
Although Iran urges goodwill for the sailors' release, the nuclear program is it's objective! From the article: "We share in the British people's happiness and we believe it is the right time for the British government to affirm its willingness to establish sensible lines of communication with Iran," the ambassador was quoted as saying.
He said "the prime issue for Iran" was recognition from the West of its right to a nuclear power program.
Iran would never ask for anything in return for it's kindness. Only that the treatment of the sailors be stricken from the evidence!
