During the 2008 Presidential campaign, Sarah Palin used the song Barracuda by Heart. Sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson are still fuming over it. The move by Heart seems to have angered many fans that walked away from the group.
This led some crazies to make death threats against the band, forcing them to tighten security. It is unfortunate when rock becomes entangled in petty politics. The sad fact is that the Wilson's sisters anger should target their record company that had to give Palin the rights to use the song.
