The Great Hush Oil Spill
June 6th 2010 13:58
By now everyone around the world has heard about the oil spill in the Gulf. From the largest city to the smallest remote village, the world shrugs as the clean-up effort is slow and almost non-existence. The spill is threatening the environment and rivals the Exxon Valdez as it becomes the worst disaster in US history.
BP is getting blamed and it isn't easing up since oil continues to spill into the Gulf after close to two months. One has to wonder if it is a media frenzy because it happened in the United States. Take for instance an oil spill that has spilled 13 million barrels of oil in 50 years. That's what is happening in Nigeria, where the population has been plagued by massive oil spills for 52 years!
The other oil producer, Shell, blames it on vandalism and sabotage. Yet the people continue to grin and bare it as their government seems to care less since oil is their profitable resource.
