The Close-Minded

Sometimes I amaze myself. Take my previous entry on one-sided me. Perhaps I just give the jest of things at times. In the end, most of the time, I become vindicated.

The science community has put out their report on close-minded individuals. It seems that people who are UNSURE of their beliefs are more close-minded!

This goes for religion, science, politics, and most things in life.

That actually doesn't surprise me too much. With some of the people I know that freak out if you so much as question something, I've often wondered whether it's because they're so unsure of their own faith, that they can't handle anything threatening it in any way. I think there are many people out there who are very sure of their beliefs and don't want to listen to other beliefs. But the ones that get really angry about it are perhaps the ones that are too scared to listening to opposing views - for fear that the person with the opposing view may actually say something that shows they could be right.
