The Circus Continues
September 7th 2008 19:21
In the ever continuing story about missing Caylee and mom Casey the media circus seems to really be shifting in high gear. Tourism is probably down at Disney but is very high at Casey Anthony's home in Orlando. The tourists are flocking to the neighborhood as tempers from both sides of the issue begin to flare. Innocent, guilty, opinionated, media circus, etc., show us how one-sided stories and speculations can be overblown.
Whether she is guilty of a crime or not, this does not merit worldwide attention. Crimes against children are an everyday occurance and many go unsolved and unpunished. The media seems to only focus on crimes that involve the wealthy. Casey's family posted another $500000 bond. With the other one, that's a million dollars. Poor people don't get that treatment.
Is she guilty? Perhaps. Without a body, though, nothing can really be proven, and everything is speculation. The hair, the decomposed smell, the chloroform, etc., really don't prove that if a crime was committed, it was Casey who carried it out.
So in this ever boring saga, it is nice to create a tourist trap. If it was me, I would be selling a variety of novelty items. T-shirts, hats, mugs, canisters of water labelled 'Chloroform', guilty/not guilty buttons, etc., I mean can you see the possibilities? I'd have a special book titled The Infinite Wisdom of Cindy Anthony! Just scroll down the page and read anything about the grandmother.
