Terror Tours
September 14th 2008 13:09
Imagine going on a holiday vacation in Peru and being mistaken for a mining company's surveyers. You know the ones, those that are accused of robbing natural resources. Fourteen British tourists were held captive by angry axe-wielding villagers and were held for nearly five hours.
Sure it may have been terrifying, but looking back it is kind of funny. Villagers with axes, rocks and sticks attack a busload of tourists because they wanted to protect the environment. I wonder if the tourists wore hardhats or where did the villagers get their information? You can tell that there is no internet in this part of the world!
If you travel, you might want to come back alive from your destination.
