Suspicious Noises

The police are summoned to a woman's house after she hears suspicious noises inside the house. When police arrived they were quick to find the source of the noises that were coming from a drawer in the woman's wardrobe. Under some clothes the police discovered the object responsible for the noises.
A forgotten vibrator had switched itself on. Boy, was her face red!
Moral of the story would be to investigate strange noises yourself instead of calling the police. Had it been an actual threat, it would have done its damage long before police arrived!
