Stupid Criminal Award

Although there was no mention of drugs, you can only guess that drugs may have been involved. Then again the criminal was foreign and may have taken things literally. This criminal is still on the loose, by the way!
The robber was described as a Polynesian in his 20s or 30s. Apparently he tried to rob a diamond store, but instead robbed a mountain gear store. The name of the store? Black Diamond Equipment!
The fact that he got away, might not make him as stupid as his act. He did settle for some trinkets that were at the store, but none as precious as the metal that got away. Whatever happened to the time when he robber would stake out the place? An ice pick as the weapon of choice makes you wonder the outcome if the store was a gun dealer!
