Arrogant Americans Give The Rest of US a Bad Name
June 15th 2010 16:55
It seemed like a great idea for those out of touch with reality. It is a grim reminder of the Balloon Boyincident for the rest of us. The 16-year-old "sailor" who wanted to sail around the world and EVERYBODY on earth knew about it! The last six words prove she and her family wanted the publicity, otherwise shut-up and do your thing and no one is the wiser !!!
When these spoiled brats get there way and they are defended by the family, they are obviously rich. After all a child from the ghetto or trailer park would never attempt such a thing. But then again how many "sailors" live in a ghetto or trailer park? So you set sail on your "yacht", which is a luxurious mini ship that can only be acquired by the $$$$=RICH!
So the brat runs into a storm and needs to be rescued. Having a silver spoon in her butt she thinks the rescue is owed to her and free. The mother claims poverty by claiming not to be wealthy people when it comes to the bill for the rescue! So who is going to pay it? Possibly the taxpayers of the schmuck country that doesn't force payment!
So the adolescent sailor can't shut-up, which means wisdom is not her forte!
From the article:
Ms.Sunderland has hit out at her critics.
This ought to be good!
"There are plenty of things people can think of to blame for my situation; my age, the time of year and many more," she wrote on her blog on Saturday.
No, it is the fact that you ran into trouble and you are an experienced immature,
spoiled rich girl!
"The truth is, I was in a storm and you don't sail through the Indian Ocean without getting in at least one storm.
So you were expecting to occupy the time of rescue resources for your own gain?
"Storms are part of the deal when you set out to sail around the world. As for age, since when does age create gigantic waves and storms?"
In your case it creates stupidity. YOU obviously were not as prepared as you wanted reality TV to be. You actually admitted liability, sailor!
The young woman has vowed to attempt to circumnavigate the earth again.
Well in the words of the greatest sailor in the world, Popeye the sailor, "Well blow me down!"
