Profanity Goes Into Overdrive
July 17th 2010 15:46
Ever since Janet Jackson's wardrobe malfunction at the Super Bowl, free TV has been fined every time a profanity or an adult content slips over the airwaves. At the same time many networks have been pushing the envelope. Ready or not, TV is going to get racier again!
This is because a federal appeals court struck down FCC's regulations on indecency. The court termed them "unconstitutionally vague" which means there are no regulations. Shows have already started being racier, but this fall they will go into overdrive.
I'm sure they will increase the ratings and warnings of TV shows, but this won't stop those who shouldn't be watching from viewing. And you know some are going to have a problem with this and be vocal to protest it!
