Police Arrested For Stopping Criminal

December 30th 2006 19:07
Three NYPD officers were arrested for assaulting a carjacker. The officers were off-duty and the would-be thief broke into the car owned by one of them. The three officers, naturally, confronted the suspect as uniformed officers responded to a 'suspicious man in car' call.

The carjacker was arrested and booked on charges. It doesn't say how bad of a whoop ass the officers inflicted on the scumbag! For them to get arrested by their own, I'm guessing the dreg took a trip to the hospital!

I can dream, can't I???

Signals,
I was carjacked once - I would have welcomed any, any ANY help from these men - that`s what they are there for. What happens when these people pull a gun on you or a knife and you get hurt? What happens when an innocent child is involved. If they do it once they will do it again.

I hope you realize that I was pointing to the irony that the officers should never have been arrested. I am not trying to give the carjacker a thumbs-up. From your comment you sounded like you thought I thought it was a good thing that the cops were arrested.

No, not at all! I think he got everything he deserved - I was meaning about the car-jacker - what happens if he had a knife or a gun and hurt an innocent person? Those policemen were doing their job, while they were off-duty - good for them. Getting arrested for doing their job is plain D-U-M-B!!!!
