If seismologist fail to predict an earthquake, can they be charged with manslaughter if human life is loss? Yes it does sound like a ridiculous question, but the Italian government is considering it! This after last year's earthquake in L'Aquila in Abruzzo.

This is truly ridiculous and frivolous! I don't believe we can accurately predict earthquakes, aside from the seismic activity areas.
