Piracy Is Down
March 19th 2010 20:11
It's been awhile since we heard about those crazy Somali pirates. Maybe because there is an aggressive campaign to interrupt their piracy of kidnapping vessels for ransoms. Warships are taking on a new strategy against these low-lives. They aggressively go after them both on the high seas and close to shore.
They are also using more military aircraft to find them before they can launch an attack and are waiting for them before they reach the shore. They are capturing them, destroying their boats, taking their weapons, and putting them on a dingy to go back to shore. Nobody wants to take them to their countries for fear they will seek asylum. Those that go to prison are sent where asylum is not an option.
I still say that blowing them up in the water where they lie will save everyone grief and aggravation!
