PETA and Potholes

Potholes are a problem that can wreck havoc on your automobile. KFC put out a campaign to repair potholes in certain select cities, providing they can put their logo on them. No sooner than Chattanooga finds out it is one of the select cities, that they get an offer from PETA.
PETA offered to double the donation. This, if they were allowed to put a caricature of an evil Colonel Sanders with the slogan "KFC Tortures Animals" over the repaired potholes!
Chattanooga gracefully declined the PETArds offer. Am I the only one who senses that PETA vandalism is coming to a pothole near you? Many companies and corporations are declining offers by PETA to use their advertisements, even though PETA is willing to pay top dollar. US Airways was one!
