Ode To The Donut

Doughnut, donut, no matter how you spell it, you know what it is. A sweet sugary cake that is deep-fried or baked topped with other sweet delights. Unless it is plain!
Now I am not a big fan of donuts and they are a rich fattening food that I tend to avoid. But I do occasionally want that sweet fulfilling taste that I will pay for at the gym. Anyway, I came across this interesting article about everybody's sweet cake.
I can't believe they put Krispy Kreme on that big 3 list. Krispy Kreme came to my area and closed before a year due to lack of business. The hype was bigger than the product. It was ironic how people would drive 70 miles to the nearest KK before it came.
Tim Horton's are popping up fast in my area. They look like a winner both for donuts and coffee. They seem to be able to compete with both Dunkin' Donuts and Starbucks!
So enjoy it donut lovers. But make sure you do more exercises at the gym, because doughnuts will add pounds fast!
