Honor Killings are still a horrible reality in some parts of the world. Many believe that when a family's honor is at stake, vengence should be swift, brutal and cold. Usually family members carry out the killing and most of the time with other member's approval.
A 19 year-old Israeli Arab woman survived an honor killing by her brother. After he shot and beat her, she played dead. He then called the emergency services to boast about killing his sister.
