Man Impregnates Cow

If I didn't know any better, I would either think that this was an ancient article from the past, or a technological article from the future. It is actually from the present, and shows how ignorant superstitions still have an impact today. A man is caught with his pants with his cow. His cow becomes pregnant. Villagers tow the cow to open sea to drown it! Where's Peta now? The poor guy had to fund the expensive ceremony.
What bothers me most is that this is a 'local traditional ritual' which means it must happen often! The article seems to actually agree with the villagers rather than the professor. There must be alot of cowpeople running around in Jakarta!
