In Persuit Of A Hijacked Ambulance

Hijacking an ambulance may not be a common occurence, but it happens a coupe of times a year in Edmonton. Usually it's someone who just drives it around the block. Unfortunately the extreme has been reached.
Police had to persue a hijacked ambulance! At the wheel was the patient who had OD'ed on drugs.
The drama began when paramedics responded to a drug overdose. The paramedics determined that the 40 year old needed to be transported to the hospital. As they were treating the patient in the back of the ambulance when he became 'extremely violent and dangerous.' The man went from being in the back to being in the driver's seat, and the two paramedics were able to get out before he began his joyride!
The patient-turned-suspect led police on a high and dangerous persuit. The ambulance went off the road and crashed. The suspect bailed but was eventually caught!
