I Smell A Hoax

I might be wrong to label this a hoax, but it seems like there is a lot of useless information circulating over the shooting down of a spy satellite. Weather may dely an attempt. The missle will be launched by a Navy cruiser. Since when can a report of mass proportions be put off until convenient?
Then the fact that this 'miracle' missle has to hit a small fuel tank on the out-of-control spy satellite makes it more science-fiction than science-fact. This is a kind of Reagan's Star Wars or the patriot missile that proved a bluff and a blunder.
This may also be an attempt to protect US from a liability lawsuit by those who may be hit by the satellite or be affected by the toxic fumes. Believe what you will but my opinion is that something smells rotten about this whole US spy satellite thing!!!
