Home invasions seem to be on the rise. They also seem to be more violent and indiscriminate. They don't always end well and the victims are sometimes the very young.
In this home invasion an 11-year-old boy gets shot in the hip as three home invaders try to shoot their way into his mother's bedroom. To their surprise the boy had a .22 cal. rifle and fired in their direction. The mother waited to open the door and saw nobody. She did see blood, though.
Three Hispanic males have been arrested. One is in the same hospital as the boy. He will be charged...if he makes it!
