Gun Buybacks Are A Waste Of Money and Effort
February 25th 2008 16:50
People who are disillusioned with gun control think that every gun taken off the streets is one less gun that can hurt a poor defenseless kitten. That is not true in areas that are being eaten by crime and guns. The bad folk aren't going to turn in their guns unless it is for a profit and they have a 'newer' arsenal.
Here is yet another gun bayback that proved to be costly and inefficient. The point made of trying to take sneakers off the street, from the article, makes a great analogy.
I'll go yet further and talk about a gun buyback in my area. People turned in old, rusty, non-operative guns that weren't even worth the money or the effort. Crime is still out-of-control in some areas, and home invasions are becoming more common. Imagine if nobody owned guns...remember the criminal will ALWAYS have a gun...we would all be sitting ducks.
Lets hope that the fine people in blue will keep us all crime free. They are the ones who say that they can't be everywhere at once.

To many guy buy backs result in this sort of thing--guns that are inoperable! And yet there are bleeding hearts out there thinking they're doing good. You just scratched the surface!!!! Nice post!
