Cordial Politics-The Dumbing Of Society
August 30th 2008 19:07
Are you kidding me??? It wasn't enough that this political race was avoiding any type of mudslinging, now we are getting excited over the choices for Vice President. Biden, who basically once called Obama an intelligent and articulate African-American. As opposed to others? The woman, who was chosen after a brief encounter and a strategy to go against the other party.
The political opponents for President, Obama and McCain, attack each other's politics but speak highly of the other's character. I'm betting that win or lose, in the end they get together and hug each other. Yes, we can now admit that society is overpowered by wussies.
I can't help it, people, that's just how I feel. I really don't want to even vote, and I'm being honest. But vote I must, and I feel really sorry for the future of my homeland. Whoever wins, both will blame Bush for all the problems that plague their administration. It goes to prove that this President will have it easy, win or lose. He can take credit for the good and blame Bush for the bad.
It is time for a change! Isn't that a given? Bush can't run again, so Obama or McCain will mean change as in "I'm Not Bush!"
Yes, I have serious issues with this Presidential race, because the rules seem to be changing. Obama goes on a trip to Europe and Asia as if he was already elected. I still can't understand why McCain was picked and why he picked a little-known woman in politics.
I know how people are very faithful to their political parties whether they agree or disagree over issues. This becomes one's downfall when it comes to misunderstanding a candidate's promises. Some may expect more than they are given, while others get more than they deserve. What this means depends on issues such as race, national origin, religious beliefs, sex, age, and other discriminating factors.
No candidate has actually touched on major issues, but rather given us rhetoric about promising change. I say easier said than done. Obama said he will decrease our dependance on foreign oil. How? By raising the price of gas to $6 a gallon and blaming Bush?
God, the DNC circus is over, and soon we must endure the RNC rhetoric and BS! We are already bombarded by alleged assasination attempts. Of course, some people may see this as a normal way of life in the American Wild West.
Myself, I dislike both candidates and don't think either is worthy of being President. At this point, nobody has said anything that would peak my interest and sway my vote. Either way, I will be voting on Election Day, November 4. Who will I vote for, as of today? I will vote for one, and that is my choice and my business.
I am not always faithful to my party or beliefs, if the candidate is worthy. Once elected, though, I will respect my President, and honor his decisions even if I don't always agree.
