Beating A Sex Rap
August 15th 2010 14:31
Apparently, in Illinois if you suffer from somnambulism you can get away with committing a crime. That's what happened when a woman was sexually assaulted in her home by a man who fell asleep after drinking with her. The man, who has a history of sleepwalking, was acquitted of all charges!
The lawyers argued that the man was not responsible because he was in a sleepwalking state. I don't know what to make of this. How do they know that he was actually sleeping? Does he assault women every time he sleepwalks? The story seems like it has too many holes in it!
